Terribly irritated with something?

Do something physical

When the situation calls for discretion and blasting the other person is impossible, do something away from the person or situation.

One immediate and highly effective strategy is to breathe in and out. You can also walk the irritation off.

Find an empty room or storage area and start screaming out your frustration.

Some people drink water and focus on the liquid’s cold effect to douse hot heads. Eating also gets the same result.

Squeeze balls are also handy gadgets to work out tempers. Any physical action you do lets you transfer energies.

Instead of getting all hot and bothered, your mind can focus on something else to do. It will be like talking about it but this time using your body to ease out the anger inside you.

Be a Professional

You are, at any given time, a son/daughter, sibling, parent or friend to someone else and as such, you carry on a ‘role’ that suits your relationship. When you work for someone or with someone, you are expected to put on a different persona other than these existing ones – that of being a professional. It is not as easy to be one though as being a professional doesn’t come naturally.

Being a professional means that you carry a responsibility given by the company. It trusts you to do your job and to do it the best way that you can. Deadlines should be met. Work should be beyond reproach. Attitude and PR should always conform to the company’s standard. Keep this as a mantra whenever you have to do work regardless of your personal feelings.

Say for example, your job is to answer questions on your company products and a customer kept on badgering you with endless questions on it. You have to be patient and answer the questions until the customer is satisfied; that’s part of your job. Retain a grip on your temper and find ways to keep your cool even if you feel like bashing the person’s head with a pipe. That’s what a professional should do.

Success is a goal you undeniably want to strive for in life. As with everyone else, you would like a piece of the good life. You would want to rise above your capacities and drive yourself to the best you can possibly reach.

In life, there are so many ways to get to your dreams. You may want to consult Feng Shui experts. You may want to consult astrological charts. You may turn to God. You may turn to creative imagery to get what you want. However you would like to build your personal pillar of success, I believe that there are constants and absolutes. A good, solid foundation is a constant in building any sturdy edifice. Thus, it is essential that there be a strong foundation in the construction of your personal pillar of success.

Integrity, no matter what your religious beliefs are, is the bedrock of all transactions.

Integrity and Self Improvement?

Why would you want to deal with things with integrity?

Well, forming relationships is a must if you are in pursuit of success; and of course you would like to take good care of these relationships.

Integrity builds trust, which is an essential relationship lubricant.

One does not need studies to confirm that clients would go back to someone with whom they were able to deal with smoothly and stuck to his end of the deal.

The currency of life is “Quid Pro Quo”, or “give me as I would give you”. So many business relationships have been severed because a party did not meet the end of the deal, or cheated the other of what was his due.

As you sever more and more relationships through the lack of integrity, you will encourage the crumbling of your pillar of success.
